If you think you have a valve problem, check to see if the water is turned on! You'd be surprised how often we find it turned off upon arrival.
If you have recently had your house painted, painters might have switched off the water to your sprinkler system without mentioning it. It’s also possible that the main sprinkler valve was turned off due to rain, or maybe a child accidentally changed it. Always double-check to ensure smooth operation.
Valves
Each sprinkler head should effectively water its neighboring heads, ensuring even coverage and a lush, healthy landscape.
If a sprinkler head continues to leak after the valve shuts off, the valve might not be closing completely. Water typically drains from the lowest heads, but persistent leaking after a minute indicates a potential issue. Cycle the valve on and off a few times to see if it resolves the problem. If not, the valve may need repair or replacement.

Controllers
If you're experiencing issues with your old Irritrol Rain Dial™ controller, a simple reset might do the trick. Unplug the controller and remove the battery from the door panel. Leave it unplugged for 15 minutes to reset to factory settings.
For outdoor, hardwired Rain Dial controllers, remember to turn off the circuit breaker and remove the battery. After 15 minutes, install a new 9-volt battery and restore power by plugging in the cord or turning the circuit breaker back on. This process usually resolves most programming and electrical issues.
This method applies to most other controllers, too. If problems persist, feel free to contact us for professional assistance.
